MERRY MID-CITY

In my never ending pursuit to be healthy (a HUGE struggle when surrounded by all the amazing food NOLA has to offer), I've been trying to incorporate a daily exercise routine into my life.  J and I recently started Pilates together twice a week at the gym but that's not nearly enough cardio.  So in addition to the Pilates class, I have a 4.38 miles loop I like to do... I start at our house, go around Bayou St. John, around City Park, back around Bayou St. John, and then home again.  There is some gorgeous scenery along the way and it's a reminder of how much I love living in Mid-City.  Wouldn't want to be in any other neighborhood of New Orleans!  Here are a few pictures I took during my walk/jog today...
